Dr. Daniel Ridge, also known as Zapper, is one of She-Hulk's childhood friends and a past lover.
History[]
Along with Jill, Zapper was one of Jennifer's earliest childhood friends. Zapper was a few years younger than Jennifer, and had developed a crush on her at an early age. His parents' house was across the street from the Walters' family house, and Bruce Banner used Dr. Ridge's medical equipment to save Jennifer's life with a blood transfusion after being gunned down by Nick Trask's henchmen.
After Jill was killed in a plot by Trask intended for Jen, Zapper and Jen starting growing closer. Zapper became one of the first people to discover that Jennifer was really the She-Hulk. Upon this discovery, Zapper did whatever he could to help his friend which often led to danger.
Zapper wanted to be a doctor like his father, and became a medical student at University of California, Los Angeles. He eventually graduated and married Christina Ridge.
